Privacy Policy

When you use Ephemera, we collect:

• Birth data — name (optional), birth date, birth time (optional), and place of birth. This is the core data used to generate your chart and reading.
• Email address — only if you choose to save your reading or purchase an email-delivered deeper reading.
• Phone number — only if you subscribe to the daily horoscope SMS service.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by our hosting provider.

• To generate and display your natal chart and reading.
• To deliver purchased deeper reading content (email reports, daily SMS horoscopes).
• To send your reading link to the email address you provide.
• To process payments via Stripe.
• To improve the service (aggregate, anonymized analytics only).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your birth data for any purpose other than generating your reading.

We share data with the following providers only as necessary to operate the service:

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — database storage for readings and subscriptions.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Twilio — SMS delivery for daily horoscope subscribers.
• Geocoding API — converts place names to coordinates for chart calculation. No personally identifiable information is transmitted.
• Vercel — hosting and serverless functions.

If you subscribe to daily horoscope text messages, you are opting in to receive recurring automated text messages from Ephemera Astrology at the number you provide. Message frequency is approximately 1 message per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Your phone number is used exclusively to deliver the daily horoscope messages you subscribed to. We do not share or sell your mobile phone number to third parties for their marketing purposes or any other commercial use.

We record your consent at the time of subscription, including a timestamp and the version of the consent language you agreed to. SMS opt-in data is never shared with third parties. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us at hello@ephemerastrology.com.
